When I got married I was probably 155 lbs. Skinny and fit. This was 15 years ago. Ever since then I’ve been overweight. I put it on fast after and have roller coaster dieted ever since. At my heaviest I was about 225 which at my 5’10” height really showed a belly.
Anyways I’ve done a bunch of different diets over the years. I’ve only twice been back under 200 lbs with today being one of those.
I’m no expert nor do I claim to be back to where I should be. BUT as someone who has a really hard time dieting and doing the things necessary to lose weight I have found something this time that’s worked and I feel I can sustain. And it’s this: stop eating sugar. That’s literally it.
Yeah I’ve been a little better on calories and portion control but doing the simple little thing of cutting out sugar has helped me drop about 17 lbs over the last 35 days.
I know there’s a million ways to diet but I really struggle with sticking to any of them. But this ones been easier, at least for me.
So for any fellow dad bod sufferers like me that want to skinny up a touch: I thought I’d throw it out there. It’s been working for me and I’m hoping it’ll continue to.
