I’ve never been one to admire a famous person, for whatever reason,
and I hope a little of that mentality rubs off on my kids. Makes it easier to avoid the pitfalls those folks have.
Closest I came to having a real life hero was someone that appeared to be wonderfully successful in every part of his life - and then I read an interview from his wife, where she probably mentioned like 5 times how he was never home. After that, I realized there’s no one on earth that provides an ideal model after which to pattern my life.
I kinda hope for the same with my kids - so I’ll do my best to squash their opinions of others 😉
