or famous role model. If they have they’ve never mentioned it and I’ve never heard any of them talk about any celebrity with any frequency. And I know I never had one as I was growing up, I’ve always looked at celebrities as detached and shallow although I’m sure there are some individual celebrities who are good people and worthy of some level up of admiration.

Even with sports they haven’t really ever had any. Most of you know my son is a great athlete and going to play college football but what I may have never mentioned is that he isn’t a big sports fan, he doesn’t watch sports on tv very often and doesn’t really care about sports celebrities. In fact I’d say he probably cares more about snowboarders and skateboarders than he does football or baseball players.

I’ve always found celebrity worship an interesting, and puzzling, thing.
