Generally I think family members and people close by make better role models...
but I don’t mind my daughter following Selena Gomez. But I spend a lot of conversation letting her know more about her own mother and grandmothers, including who they were at younger ages, because trying to become like them will do her far more good than trying to become like a celebrity.
