Kerri Walsh Jennings and Jennie Finch are both Olympians who dominated their
sports (beach volleyball and softball) and seem like solid people. Jennie is quick to give thanks to God, as is her former Olympic teammate Cat Osterman. Actually there are quite a few professional and college softball players that I have a fair amount of respect for.
For music, I'd say Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. It's much more difficult to think of TV or movie stars who might be worth looking up to
