There are so many battles that helped determine the war's outcome. In the Pacific- Midway was the sea

battle that turned the tide.

However, I think that D-Day- esepcially on June 6 - and a landmark celebration like 75th anniversary- deserves every accolade it gets. The fate of the free world could very well have been determined on this day.
