Not at all. Show me a unit of comparable

Size that sustained deahs at the rate 8th AF did. Hint:. It doesn't exist.
That an individual much smaller unit did is of no consequence to this discussion because plenty of smaller units in Air Corps and army did as well. The difference is nobody did on such a large scale nor over such an enduring length of time as 8th Air Force.
