I went to both Cornell and BYU for my undergrad because BYU did not have what

I wanted to study. In terms of the difficulty of the classes, I would say they were even. But I enjoyed what I was studying at Cornell more, so I did better in the classes. And what really makes the difference, at least in what I studied, was that each of my professors at Cornell were the top professors in their fields in the world and it made it very interesting.
