do a little research. We went to Siem Reap where Ankor Wat is located as a side trip from our time in Thailand. We stayed on a small island in Thailand called Koh Tao which was absolutely incredible too, but we both wished our main destination was Cambodia. Flew into Bangkok and took a short flight to Siem Reap.

Also you should see Ankor Wat and the other temples before the Russian and Chinese tourists destroy them.
