The memes, all of them about storming whatever really are not funny to me. But clearly general population America finds things like that amusing -> see all the ‘cash me outside’ memes and the like. I am sorry that you feel like the majority of non-LDS people attack LDS people. Lots of people say things about Catholics, doesn’t bother me none. Lots of people say things about my race, and ditto, really doesn’t bother me. As a matter of fact I joke about my race/ethnicity all the time. But that’s just me, I am godly handsome and successful hence why these things don’t bother me (only half joking, my self awareness of my lack of awareness is what makes me, me).

My only point is, you have to admit and see it goes both ways. Look at all the Utah smack that goes on here. I come here for that smack talk! I get that my peeps all work at a gas station, are trash, couldn’t get in BYU, etc etc. I also know plenty of that isn’s smack, it is what people on here actually believe. It bothers me none, sometimes I come on to give it back JOKINGLY. Y’all are pretty knowledgeable about sports and that’s fun to read and go back and forth on as well.

I absolutely HATE that some dumb Utah fans resort to religious smack. There are SO MANY other ways to make fun of BYU fans, first and foremost being scoreboard (isn’t it 20 straight now??). And I guess I can say the same about the Utah fans being coke heads (and I ain’t talking about the cola) and DUI’ers. But, when people who think they are smart and clever but in reality are neither (on BOTH sides) run their mouth, this is what you get.

TLDR I hate religious smack, and I hate offending people over their beliefs, because people are entitled to their agency and beliefs. Sorry a small segment of my fanbase does that, the big difference between the Utah fanbase is we accept all comers, even the poor drug addicted uneducated DUI’ers, or in other words 95% of our fanbase 😉 . For the record, me and my friends, the personal ones that I know, and the ones I hangout with at the stadium, we don’t ever being religion into it. Because in reality it is only sports. The rivalry is fun and great, it can def get intense, and I wish we can keep religion out of it, out of all aspects of sports.
