a season saying opponents had to be "afraid" of one of our WRs in order for it to be good?
I get that you're the perpetual worrier on CB, but shouldn't history teach us something here? Time to let the expectations go that BYU needs some absolute killer at WR going into the season for there to be any hope. It does not automatically spell "worry," unless you're just a worrier no matter what.
BYU's history says otherwise. They need someone to emerge and they'll likely see him emerge. But even in hindsight we can still look back at multiple seasons with very successful passing games and say hey, we didn't have a standout guy that anybody was "afraid of."
Please tell me who people were afraid of in 09 or 06.
Who knew Watkins and a freshman Collie would do what they did going into 04?
BYU has the QB. Just worry about that. Everything else will settle in when you've got it at the most important position. Actually the 2 most important positions. They have more than enough talent and athleticism to fill in the blanks. More than previous years with successful passing games.
