Dude, don't believe everything that every team puts out about their players in..
...the pre-season. Does that mean that everything is pure hype? Of course not. But does that mean that everything is true? Nope.
And I don't have to go back all the way to BYU football in 1989 to prove my point. I can go back to even just last year, 2018. Watch the games yourself. I only mentioned "30 years" because over that long course of time BYU has never had consistent strength at CB. We were QB U, we put TEs into the NFL, Bronco's teams were known for physical defenses but we've never been know for consistent, strong CB play and that includes 2018.
