Its probably time for me to graduate to a lifting belt. SK mentioned that as i got 415 half way up on my deadlift today.

Depends how heavy you go - finally got one at 525 but had to upgrade at ~870

Yes! At that weight you need a belt. I won't go above 225lbs in squat or deadlift without one.

It helps you brace your core. Gives your muscles something to push against.
