...but my guess is at some point during the season we’ll see that ZW is the better QB. Last fall I think coaches saw that ZW was clearly better than Mangum fairly early in fall camp but they were just scared of his being less experienced and so they went with the more experienced Mangum instead. He was serviceable and helped us get wins over AZ and Wisconsin but our offense struggled vs Cal, Wash and USU.

It didn’t take them long to realize Mangum’s experience didn’t outweigh ZW’s physical and mental gifts and the starting job was his.

Otherwise on your list I think you’re pretty accurate. The only other player who might grab a starting spot could be Hoge at G. Nobody discussed special teams but I think Oldroyd is going to be pretty good as our FG kicker, kick-off specialist and punter, not sure how your kicking/punting battles are going. It would be weird to think we finally might have a better kicking game than you guys.
