A couple of years ago on July 4th we were in our driveway doing sparklers with our 4 yearl old when a pit bull
from the neighbors house started crossing the street. It had acting been acting funny all evening with the fireworks etc. It wasn't our neighbors dog but one of their friend's dog.

Anyway I was keeping an eye on it and noticed that it had been left by itself untethered. When it started crossing the street I slowly walked between it and my wife and kid and met it at our curb. I tried shooing it away but it kept coming so I raised my hands high and got louder and it charged me but stopped about a foot away barking and snarling. I stood my ground and yelled at it and kinda growled back at it. We had a stare down for about 10 seconds while both trying to out crazy each other. It eventually tucked tail and sulked back across the street. Glad I didn't let that thing near my young child.
