A lot of trashy, uneducated people buy pitbulls first of all! Then these poor dogs suffer for it! They buy them to fight. Or they buy them to protect their yard, chain them up outside in horrible conditions, neglect them, and then people wonder why they have issues! Look up animal shelters and see a lot of them are comprised of mostly pits! If intelligent people took them in and raised them correctly things might change! There is research proving pitbulls are not the breed with the strongest jaws. And to be clear...pitbulls only have a bad reputation bc they are known for dog fighting. Who makes them fight? ...humans! Dogs arent born bad! No breed is. Its ignorant to believe this way. Anyone who thinks pitbulls are bad never had one and doesnt educate themselves. They just choose to be ignorant. I myself rescued 2 pitbulls. 1st one came into our lives and we too were scared. She needed surgery as she was malnourished and had a blockage. We hot her surgery and $2000 later and a few days of taking care of her we couldnt take her to the shelter. We fell in love almost instantly. She knows we rescued her and I know she is grateful to us! Turns out she is the best dog either my husband or I have ever owned. I had never had any experience w pits prior. She has never tried to hurt a human until she had to protect my husband from another human! She is scared to death of thunderstorms, loves to play with her toys, and thinks shes a lap dog. I would trust her around a baby! My 12 yr old has harrassed the poor dog for 6 years and never did I once fear for her safety! I know she would die for us! She is the most beautiful soul! Shame on anyone for banning pitbulls or putting them down for simply having the name pitbull! Educate yourselves people!!!
