Comment: Man...the officials spots have not been kind to BYU this year. What's up with that!
Question: When BYU faked out USC on the supposed field goal, yet BYU brought in their short yardage big boys...USC got some kind of sorcery call that they did not get to do their substitution. They called a time out because they got fooled. Not only did they give the USC timeout back, the stupid officials let BYU line up again, and actually run the play....'say' that there was a whistle to allow USC to substitute. What??? Why didn't they do that before BYU even lined up. There was plenty of time. They allowed BYU and USC to line up, and friggin launch the play...and they blew it dead? I don't get that. What was that all about???
Also...was it Romney that was all alone downfield when Wilson scrambled and threw the long ball for a first down...the USC defender rand and dove at his knees. Why? How is that not as bad as a targeting penalty? Launching at a defenseless players knees? I'm so happy Romney didn't have 2 broken legs. There was every which way to make a solid tackle on Romney.
Also, the hit in the back on Micah was with the crown of the helmet, launching into his back. Does that not qualify? Does it only have to be to the head...so you can launch your head into other parts of the body? I was very impressed that Micah held on to that ball.
