- BYU would definitely have been an AAC champ contender. We beat Houston (5-3 in the AAC) and @ UConn (1-7 cellar-dweller) and lost @ UCF (7-1) in OT and Memphis (7-1) in triple OT on a neutral field. However, we got boat-raced at Boise State (7-1 in MWC), so I don't think we even make the AAC CCG (assuming Boise State is also in the AAC with us, as originally planned - along with SDSU).
- we beat Cincinnati (4-4), UConn (4-4), and ECU (3-5). We also beat Boise State that year (5-3 in MWC). So, BYU would definitely have been a contender. But, not sure we would have beaten Houston (13-1, who beat Florida State in the Peach Bowl) - who likely wins the West Division and would have kept us out of the AAC CCG.
- we beat Cincinnati (1-7) and had some good wins over Arizona and the MSU's. But, we had the 1-point loss at Boise State (6-2 in MWC), so I don't think we reach the AAC CCG.
- NOPE
- No AAC opponents to compare and had the heart-breaker at Boise State, again (7-1 in MWC). So, I don't think we reach the AAC CCG...and definitely didn't have the horse power to contend with UCF last year, even if we were to sneak into the AAC CCG.
