Kids will be kids, they’re going to ha e sex anyway, there’s not much we can do, blah, blah, blah.
I believe it’s called willful ignorance. Parents need to wake up and see that these phones are open doors to a world of pain and darkness. And they keep themselves blissfully ignorant.
Basic rules to live by with teens and phones.
1- phones in parents room after x o’clock pm.
2- no snap chat/twitter/insta/facebook on their device until 18.
3- parent knows all passwords and expect they will read any and every text.
4- no internet access after dinner.
5- no phones at dinner table
6- no phones during family time
Absolute musts. You are foolish if you think it doesn’t make a difference. Foolish. It isn’t perfect but neither is a seat belt, bike helmet, or life jacket but you use all of those.
