It was very well defended after the pass was thrown. He recovered as well as anyone can expect for an accurate pass where he had already given up position.
Point is, the DB’s failure was in letting him get open initially (ie Wilson was throwing to an open receiver) and did a relatively good job by almost making up for it.

I don't think you throw to him unless he's open. If he's getting double or triple-teamed, somebody else is open.
