strength. Clemson has three titles, the conference has none. It’s teams, not conferences, that play games. A conference is merely a collection of teams with varying degrees of strength.

If a team in the Pac managed to be as good as Clemson is then they would run through the season, make it to the playoffs, and win a title. But that wouldn’t magically make any of the other teams in the conference any better.
