Yes, these kids need help. Desperately. The problem with foster care is that the system is very imperfect. I have so many friends (myself included) who have had a terrible experience. The kids and their baggage aside, the main troubles come from working with DCFS. I don't have a solution because there is a reason DCFS exists....but they cause so many problems and (I believe) run off a lot of families who would like to help.
