My dad (adopted by stepfather), my wife, 3 BIL, 1 SIL, a niece, Cousin's kids, quite a few in my family. With the exception of kids born with complications from drug use or disability, adopted kids shouldn't be much different than naturally born kids.

They may have some struggles with identity at times if they're a different race, but I wouldn't let that stop you from adopting.
