Both Utah and BYU have been in talks with a kid from Brighton as well. The recruiting game is rough. Most colleges offer several kids PWO or at least drag a few kids along in hopes that they can land 1 of them. In this case the Cragun kid got a preferred walk-on option for Utah. He received this offer last Tuesday. Ironically enough on Monday Utah recruiters called the Brighton kid and 1 other recruit, told them that they were their #1 choices for kickers. They made it clear on the calls that Utah wanted to get rid of all the kickers on their current roster, they are not confident with any of them.

  The Farmington kid got lucky in a camp where he booted a long punt in a contest. Looko how he is under pressure in games. He currently ave’s 38 yds a punt. That is not all American status.

  Of the 3 kids - the Brighton kid is at least rated the highest in all kicking and punting categories. The other 2 seem to be either a punter or a kicker. 

  BYU is locked for the future with kicking and punting. They do need to get rid of the Australian kid - he is on scholarship and is terrible. No reason to keep that wasted scholarship. Oldroyd is substantially better.
