No G5s have been undefeated with elite wins.
NY6 Bowl games do not count as part of the CFP calculation. You would have a point if Kent St went undefeated this year and was shut out, or if Houston went undefeated in 2016 and was shut out, or if Western Michigan went undefeated in 2015 (beating Ohio St and Michigan St) instead of 2016 (beating Northwestern and Illinois). Then we could definitively conclude that it is impossible for G5s. We haven't seen anything close to a undefeated G5 with elite wins.
