The BYU AD makes the vast majority of its money because of football

BYU *allocates* $28.2M to football; $8.2M to basketball; $5M from other sports; and $37M *not allocated*. From where does that $37M in revenue come? Mostly donations and sponsorships.

Compare that to P5's like Wake Forest, Boston College, Washington State, Texas Tech and Utah. All get way more TV money than BYU. It's also interesting to compare to UCF Houston, and Cincinnati - among the very best G5.

  • Utah = $55M
  • Texas Tech = $45M
  • WSU = $41.7M
  • BC = $32M
  • BYU = $28.2M
  • UCF = $26.8M
  • Wake =$25M
  • Houston = $14.2M
  • Cincinnati = $13.8M
