Everything I've read indicates that BYU is taking the MWC's spot in the game and is contracted to play an AAC team. However, many do believe that Hawaii will still get the bid as the AAC is unlikely to have enough teams to fill all their contracts games if they get the NY6 bid. Expected and contracted are nowhere close to the same thing, though.
