Very entertaining. So because you say their D is better than our O, that makes..
...it so? Haha...that’s a good one. That’s very deep analysis you did. Thanks. We’re all significantly more informed now because of your efforts.

Besides your OPINION that SDSU’s D is better than our O, you offer nothing. When a team like SDSU plays the 101st ranked SOS to date, it’s hard to put much stock into rankings because of the poor caliber of opponents. What would BYU’s rankings look like if they had played a schedule full of cream puffs? They’d look artificially inflated much like SDSU’s does. Meanwhile, BYU is 2-2 vs top 25 teams and one of a handful of teams with multiple wins vs Sagarin’s top 30.

SDSU traditionally has good defensive teams so it’s not a stretch to think this will be a low scoring game but just because they shut out Weber St, held UCLA to 14 (they started the season 1-5), and held really bad teams like NMSU and Colo St (another team that started the season 1-5) to 10 pts doesn’t offer any proof that their D is better than our O.

Furthermore, while their D is likely better than average, their O is really not very good at all. They struggled to score 6 pts vs Weber St, couldn’t surpass 20 pts vs either Nevada or UNLV and the only team they managed to break 30 pts against was NMSU (a team that is currently 0-9 and has given up 40+ Points six times this year).

Getting caught up in their rankings after they’ve played such a weak schedule is kinda like getting excited after finding Fools Gold.
