Zach has, from what I have observed, a bit of a "hero' mentality. Quick to call his own number. The RPOs showed that. Would be interesting to see how he would perform with the play-calling we have now, but there is NO arguement regarding the poise and decision-making that BR has demonstrated. And it isn't just about play-calling. Decisions have to be made on every play, especially passing downs, and Baylor has spread the ball around VERY well. There were many times Zach would take the long, low percentage throw over a 1st down gainer that didn't look as impressive but would have kept the team moving.
My hope is that if ZW starts, which I'm certain he will, he has learned something about the poise and calm required to play QB. During Toledo, and even prior, I started seeing a bit of "Happy Feet" with ZW, and it became eerily similar to Heaps before he crumbled.
All in all, I hope for all of their success. We have 3 good QBs, and that's a luxury.
