Asked to do very different things

Zach started the year with super high expectations. The RPO offense required him to make a ton of decisions. Zach took the high risk/high reward approach and at times made some really poor choices. When he feels pressure he is a very run first type player. This leads to some big plays, but also a lot of sacks.  Zach has a bigger arm and can make all the throws.

Baylor isn't being asked to make decisions. The offense is a very basic one read type offense. Liberty was the first team to really have a lot of film on what they were doing with Baylor in there and were more effective against BYU than they were against some pretty terrible teams(ULL and Rutgers).  Against better competition, they will have to add layers of complexity to be successful here. What Baylor does super well that Zach could learn is he has outstanding pocket presence. He feels pressure and moves where he needs to. He can run, but does it primarily out of necessity. He throws a pretty soft ball, but is generally very accurate.

It's hard to compare who is "better" because Zach can do more things and was asked to do or tried to do more than Baylor, but what Baylor does, he does very well.

We have 4 games left and truthfully, we will play against 3 teams with awful defenses to the point that it won't matter who plays. SDSU is the only game that will show us anything about where things will be headed going into next year.
