And if playing big time schools is all that matters, why don’t we schedule 2-1’s
with Bama, Ohio State, Florida and Oklahoma all year?
Of course the answer is there is a balance. The goal is to play a game on New Year’s day against a really good opponent in front of the entire country. That’s the prize that we’ve self-eliminated ourselves from in favor of a few fun exhibition games in September and UMass, Idaho State and Liberty in November.
