BYU doesn't have a name brand anymore, don't fool yourself.
The dominant BYU football teams were before most recruits were born. The last truly great BYU team of 96 was 23 years ago. Bronco had solid teams, but no outstanding teams.
Time to come to this realization.
BYU, if it is ever to be competitive at the U's current level will take a major miracle and a special coach that doesn't currently exist.
I agree that the U will ebb and not be great at football again someday, but (and sorry to be so negative) I do not see BYU ever being as competitive as Utah is right now - not in this era of football.
