If you are still struggling to think this would be good, think about this

Boise State, if they go undefeated the rest of this season, very well may play a January 6 bowl game. Utah, with their "best" team ever, will likely go to a January 6 bowl game.

Look at what Utah has to do to get there vs what Boise State has to do to get there. Boise has the easier road.
