I was on the BYU XC team and I can tell you they don't take much $ or resources. Drop in a bucket compared to most of
the other sports. Only 7 guys compete/travel in only a few races outside the state per year. 1 coach, who is actually paid as the track coach. Also, there are no XC scholarships, they are all on track scholarships. The AD doesn't even pay attention to XC. I don't remember ever having the AD come to a practice or see him meeting with Coach Eyestone. Like I said, very little money or resource drain.
