How much money are we talking about?
You bring up the money, but I have no idea what a true comparison might look like. (i.e. Which program gives the most 'bang for the buck')
Do you know? or is it pure speculation? Can it even be measured?
I don't have a horse in this race' (no pun intended), but my understanding is that XC brings the type of athletes that any school would want from an academic perspective.
It seems that for such a small population of students (compared to FB, BB, and others) the bang for the buck would be pretty good.
