and the highest-ranked G5 champion is a non-starter. Conferences and conference championships have to mean something.

Take off that criteria. If they go undefeated, they have to be ranked a certain

Pretty much every P5 champ the last 10 years would get an auto bid. The idea is to eliminate fluke 9 win conf. champs
