I grew up in a true blue house when BYU was a winner so they will always be my team but I don’t give them high priority on my time. I took a boy to the b-ball game Saturday because a neighbor gave us tix and watched a family movie instead of the football ball game on Saturday. Seems like it worked out.

My kids haven’t gone to BYU or any college yet, but they are casual cougar fans at best, and if they choose not to be at some point BYU hasn’t earned their loyalty.

Besides, I’m hopeful they are more loyal to biking and skiing than being spectators of a mediocre team anyway.
