good teams they played. Their schedule was fairly weak, so it’s hard to know for sure how good they are. Without Tua I don’t think they are better than Oklahoma; even with him, I’m not sure.
Oregon lost to ASU and had a few lackluster wins in a weak conference. They did look good vs utah, but I think utah was very overrated.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma ended up with several wins over ranked teams, including 2 on the road. They ended up with more wins over Sagarin Top 30 than any other team, except for LSU. The Big 12 was much tougher than the Pac 12 and rated by Sagarin as the 2nd toughest conference or division after the SEC West. Oklahoma’s SOS was #22 before the CCG, compared with Bama at #53 and Oregon at #44. And of course they only had 1 loss, compared to 2 for the other guys.
I think Oklahoma is clearly deserving of the #4 spot.
