I don't thimk G5 teams would want to be in a lower league than the P5 even if they dont have a shot at the national championship. Until it actually happens, we cant use it as evidnce of some growing gap between P5 and G5. And G5 teams continue to beat good P5 teams in today's CFB landscape(BSU vs Arizona 2014, Houston vs FSU 2015, UCF vs Auburn 2017). Where is the evidence that the G5 is trending downwards as a competitive group?
