I avoid barbells for shoulder reasons not sure what it would have to do
With the back. Shoulder impingement is a real thing with barbell use with incline and flat bench and barbell military press. I really wish gyms would get a Swiss Bar or a rogue bar with Canted handles that facilitates less strain on the shoulder.
