Depends on how old you are. If you are retired, or close to retirement, or need

the money to pay for kids' colleges soon, then it's not a terrible idea to underweight equities and have some cash or more conservative investments with an expensive stock market at record highs, deep into the longest bull market in history (now closing in on 11 years).
