After the game, as the players were leaving the floor, one of their (male?) cheerleaders ran up to BYU center Troy Jones, punched him in the face, then ran off.

Things were a little wilder back then.

I just looked at the BYU 1976-1977 schedule. BYU lost to Utah 54-67 that year
