I think a lot of dads are reluctant coaches
And I'd like to add that just because you never played or you were never a superstar college or professional athlete does not mean that you can't coach.
It does mean, however, that you could have a very steep learning curve.

Most are good, but some are truly cringe-worthy and even borderline abusive.

I coach most of my kids’ teams because typically 1-2 weeks before the season...
