On one team I coached I had a couple dads telling me to stop taking my kid out.

I was big into proving I didn’t play favorites and my kid sat as much as the rest of the regular starters. Several dads got mad at me and said I needed to leave my kid in so we could win more games.

Tough to know what to do as a dad coach.

Most are good, but some are truly cringe-worthy and even borderline abusive.

This is a good point. Aggressive oblivious parent is just as bad or worse.
