My experience has been that VERY few are abusive or jerks. Many play favorites,

but like the poster said, that’s often because their kid is one of the best anyway. But I have encountered 1 jerk and 1 borderline jerk out of 50+ coaches my oldest has had.

Now, if you count me yelling at my son for quitting on a play in flag football the other night, then maybe add a third for me.

This is a good point. Aggressive oblivious parent is just as bad or worse.
