That's the party line from the Asterisks fans, the players and their front office. Which begs the question, why did they do it for 3 years if it didn't help them? It's the old Bill Clinton defense. The one positive here is that all of those players will be remembered first and foremost for cheating and for "winning" a tainted WS trophy that nobody outside their own clubhouse and fanbase considers to be legitimate.
