When was the last time a small school was close to winning the BCS or CFP?
It's night and day difference. The reason the power schools still do well in basketball is because...they have the resources to be really good. But, there are a lot of really good basketball teams that have a shot. It's not just Kentucky, Duke, Kansas and North Carolina in the Final Four every year or just ACC v. B1G and SEC v. PAC or Big 12. Texas Tech and Virginia are not blue bloods.

I think college basketball certainly provides the illusion that it's not as "rigged" as college football
