Never said we should give up on football or that football isn't king
I'm an extremely passionate BYU football fan and I *hope* the program can get out of the current string of inconsistency and mediocrity... I know BYU can and should be good in both of the major sports. The overarching premise of the post is that BYU basketball has a far better path forward for elite success than football does and I want to see the school invest even more in basketball success.

I think college basketball certainly provides the illusion that it's not as "rigged" as college football
