I guess the question is what defines "moderation." Anything under 150 grams per day would provide benefits

of keto/low carb for most people (though not strictly keto), and give many people a huge handle on their health while giving them an out to say they are being "balanced" by incorporating some carbs.  In reality, there are carbs in vegetables, so you don't even need the bread and sugar, but maybe for social reasons people just don't like to give them up entirely.
