I don't have the data to make those decisions
But yes from a US standpoint there are acceptable losses to save the economy. What are they? I have no idea to be honest. The world has never seen a full market shutdown like this. Never. How will we come back and react to it? The answer is guesswork.
I will say that if we sat by and did nothing and millions died there would be far longer problems than a fractured economy.
At this point I put my trust in God and the leaders of the country who have specialists and economics experts and data to make the decision. Does that mean they are right? Not necessarily, but complaining about it at this point when we really don't know what the virus is going to do seems like the wrong approach.
Just my 2 cents.
